Dr. Jared Geist

Originally from Monroe, Louisiana, Dr. Geist received his undergraduate degree in biology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-School of Medicine in Shreveport, LA. He then completed his internship, residency, and fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.

Dr. Geist is presently a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. His areas of interest include EUS, obscure gastrointestinal bleeding, and treatment of Barrett’s esophagus.

In his spare time, Dr. Geist enjoys running, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
